Meditation is a practice of quietening the mind, letting go of thoughts and feelings and a way of observing ourselves without judgement or fear.  It allows our busy minds a space to relax and replenish while opening avenues to tap into our intuition, creativity and spirituality.  We often ignore our own need to rest and replenish, to give ourselves time to just be and to let the world go past without being caught in the busyness of life.  The benefits of meditation are well documented especially for those of us working in environments where our nervous systems are constantly heightened and where there is little time or space to bring it back into balance.  This practice is highly recommended and can ideally be used at any time of the day or in any place, just put your EarPods in and take a break even if it’s for just 5 minutes.
